The Covid-19 pandemic has changed how we live each day. Between virtual learning, zoom happy hours, and working remotely many of our “normal” routines have been interrupted. How do we make and keep those desired changes knowing Covid-19 may put a kibosh on our efforts? HPFY can help you tackle those resolutions while avoiding potential Covid-19 exposure and pitfalls.
Having a brand-new year to make changes in our life seems like a great idea and it is! Think of it as a blank slate with a plethora of choices and opportunities. Below are some common resolutions and ideas on how to be successful and safe:
Losing Weight: Gatherings and parties over the holidays are often celebrated with food. Starting with Thanksgiving through the New Year, it is common to overeat. So many goodies we don't enjoy during the rest of the year. So how do we get rid of those pesky pounds?
Eat Healthier: We all know how important it is! We should all make healthier food choices. Time constraints and convenience make choosing healthy food difficult. Let’s face it, grabbing some fast food or a ready-made meal can be too easy to avoid. After a season of holiday parties filled with unhealthy foods, eating healthier is a great New Year’s resolution.
Exercise: In conjunction with losing weight and eating healthier, increasing our frequency of exercise can keep us healthy and avoid potentially serious health issues down the road. With the holidays coinciding with colder weather and darker days, it is easy to become sedentary in our everyday lives. Getting to the gym or just going for a run can be much harder during the winter months. With Covid-19 (and the omicron variant in particular) spreading like wildfire, avoiding the gym is a wise decision. Some ways to enhance your at-home workout.
Hopefully, 2022 will be the year we escape from the grips of Covid-19, but don’t let the pandemic stop you from accomplishing your New Year’s resolutions. Make sure to practice recommended CDC protocols and take control of your health and well-being as best you can! Health Products for You wishes you all a happy and healthy New Year, we are here to help you every step of the way!
