  2. Avoid carbonated drinks as much as you can. Most of the carbonated drinks contain phosphoric acid, citric acid and carbonic acid that can erode tooth enamel. Sugar deposits lead to bacterial growth.
  3. In morning, brush before breakfast, to get rid of dental plaque, especially if you drink acidic beverages in the morning. It weakens enamel for at least an hour and plaque can cause permanent damage.
  4. To reduce dental plaque, drink green tea. It also helps to inhibit bacteria in mouth.
  5. Foods like apple, yogurt, carrots, nuts etc can help in breaking up the plaque that sticks to teeth.
  6. Protect teeth from cavity by consuming foods rich in fiber that assist in saliva production. Saliva contains elements such as bicarbonate, calcium, and phosphate which helps prevent early tooth decay.
  7. Chewing sugar-free gums after the meal can help cleanse the teeth. It will also stimulate saliva production which is beneficial.
  8. Prefer xylitol as a sweetening agent. It naturally inhibits bacterial growth in the mouth.
  9. Drink water to clean away bacteria and produce more saliva.
  10. Consume adequate minerals and vitamins that are essential for the growth of teeth. Minerals like calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, etc., and vitamins like A, D, E, and K.
  11. Using clove oil for tooth ache can be beneficial. Put two drops of clove oil in the cavity as a natural remedy for tooth decay.
  12. Use Neem sticks to brush and chew leaves. They are one of the best ways to destroy bacteria in mouth.
