• Safety:
  Before using the new scale, please take a little time to read the following safety instructions
  - Follow the safety instructions in the instruction manual
  - Keep the operating manual and the declaration of conformity contained therein in a safe place
  - Do not drop the scale or subject it to violent shocks
  - Place the scale carefully in its position for use
  - Avoid pulling hard on the connecting cable to the display unit
  - Secure the scale so that it does not fall over when stored in the upright position
  - When using the scale with a mains unit, ensure that the supply cable is routed in such a way as to exclude any type of tripping hazard
  - The cable between the weighing plat-form and the case must be laid so that it does not present a tripping hazard
  - Have scale serviced on a regular basis
  - Have repairs carried out exclusively by authorized persons
• BMI (Body Mass Index) Feature:
  - This bariatric scale will determine a patients BMI number when you input their height and weight readings. This can help you and your patient see if their weight falls in a healthy weight range and can help in establishing a healthy diet and exercise plan.
• Pre-Tare Memory:
  - When you use this fancy pre-tare feature, you can subtract a stored value from the weight on the scale. This can come in real handy if you use a chair or wheelchair to weigh your patients. This eliminates the need to tare the value of the chair each time you weigh and you can store up to three weights.
• Adjustable Feet:
  - To get the most accurate weight readings, its important to use this scale on a level surface. Seca makes it easy to keep this floor scale nice and level by using the adjustable feet on the bottom of the scale. This makes it possible to keep your scale level anywhere you want to use it.
• Tare Feature:
  - The tare button on this obesity scale can be pressed to "zero set" the weight on the scale. You can then add more weight, and the display will only show the weight of what you are adding. This can also be very useful for accurately weighing infants that are being held in their a parens arms.
• Hold Feature:
  - With this cool feature you can weigh, press the "hold" key and step off the scale. After you step off the scale, your weight reading will remain on the display. This feature will let you, (or your patient if you are a doctor or nurse) step off the scale, then, record your weights.
• Digital Remote Display:
  - This Seca medical scale comes with a remote weight display you can easily mount to a wall or even on a table.
• Auto-Off Feature:
  - If you have ever had the batteries in something run out because you forgot to turn it off, you will realize what a blessing this feature is. When you use the 634 with battery power, the scale will automatically turn off after a few moments of inactivity.
