Easy Pulse 5 Oxygen Conserving Regulator works on patented Controlled Minute Volume (CMV) Oxygen Conserving Technology. Single dial control and the ergonomically designed T-Handle or Hand Tight nut make setting and connecting the unit easy for any patient. EasyPulse Five is the smallest and lightest oxygen conserver. It features a robust design, and proven pneumatic reliability, and no batteries are required in this unit. EasyPulse Five is accomplished pneumatically with a single-lumen cannula.

Easy Pulse 5 Oxygen Conserving Regulator Highlights

  • Weighing as little as 280 grams
  • Reduces Oxygen Cost
  • Controls Minute Volume
  • Versatile, Lightweight and Compact

EasyPulse 5 Oxygen Regulator Features

  • Reduces Oxygen Cost:
With a conserving ratio of 5.7 to 1, EasyPulse5 reduces the number of deliveries and related costs, refill costs, tanks purchased and tanks used.
  • Controls Minute Volume:
When the patient breathes faster, the minute volume is controlled so that only the prescribed amount of oxygen is delivered, which allows for predictable cylinder duration.
  • Reliable:
EasyPulse5 Oxygen Regulator is the only pneumatic oxygen conserver that uses a standard single lumen cannula and delivers a pulse wave form that is comparable to an electronic conserver. Lack of alarms and batteries prevents nuisance calls.
  • Versatile, Lightweight, and Compact:
EasyPulse5 is the smallest and lightest conserving regulator available. The plastic T-Handle/Hand Tight Knob is ergonomically correct for easy attachment to the cylinder by patients.
  • Clinically Sound:
It delivers a front-loaded tapered waveform. Also, the entire bolus of oxygen is delivered in the first third of the inspiratory phase.
  • Safe:
Precision Medical EasyPulse5 has passed the Fault Tolerance and stringent ASTM G175 Ignition Sensitivity test.

Oxygen Conserving Regulator Component Description:

EasyPulse Five Oxygen Conserving Regulator

Controlled Minute Volume Technology:

EasyPulse5 utilizes Controlled Minute Volume (CMV) Oxygen Conserving Technology. CMV Technology delivers a pulse algorithm waveform, fast delivery time, and superior trigger sensitivity. All of this is accomplished pneumatically with a single-lumen cannula. CMV Technology is the most reliable, efficient, and clinically sound conserving technology available.

When to use this Device?

EasyPulse 5 oxygen regulator is intended to regulate high-pressure cylinders that provide supplemental oxygen to patients who have difficulty extracting oxygen from the air they breathe in. It is for patients who would normally receive their oxygen via a nasal cannula. EasyPulse5 delivers 100% oxygen at flow settings. It is to be used as an oxygen saving device that reduces the drying of the airways.

User Guides

Principles Of Operation

The Easy Pulse 5 oxygen conserving regulator is designed to be used with high-pressure oxygen systems. It consists of a cylinder connection, cylinder contents gauge (if equipped), high-to-low pressure regulator, orifice plate, and a conserving demand module. The regulator reduces the high pressure of the cylinder to the working pressure of the orifice plate. The orifice plate uses calibrated orifices to deliver a selected flow to the conserving demand module. The conserving demand module controls the pulse size and timing for the patient. It supplies a pulse of oxygen at the beginning of each breath. This reduces the oxygen demand on the system and limits the drying of the airways. The flow is determined by setting the flow control knob to the prescribed flow. The oxygen is supplied to the patient through the cannula.

How to clean it?

  • Disconnect all connections before cleaning.
  • After each use, clean the exterior of the Conserver with a cloth dampened with mild detergent and water.
  • Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
  • Store the Conserver in a clean area free from grease, oil, and other sources of contamination.
  • Do not use cleaning solutions or immerse them in any kind of liquid.

What to buy with an Oxygen Regulator

FAQs About Precision Oxygen Conserving Regulator

1. What is an oxygen-conserving regulator?

Conserving regulators use air pressure to determine when you need to take a breath. When you breathe out, the regulator senses this air and releases oxygen for you to breathe in.

2. How many types of oxygen regulators are there?

Oxygen regulators come in two basic types: continuous flow and conserver. Continuous flow provides a steady flow of oxygen while a patient is on portable cylinders.

3. What does an oxygen regulator do?

The regulator reduces, controls, and measures the flow of oxygen to the patient to ensure a safe and effective working pressure.

4. How does oxygen conserving device work?

An oxygen-conserving device is used in place of the oxygen flow regulator on an oxygen portable unit. The purpose of this unit is to deliver oxygen from a compressed gas cylinder and at the same time conserve the oxygen by delivering oxygen in a bolus or “pulse” instead of a continuous flow..
