Manamed PlasmaFlow Portable DVT System

Manamed PlasmaFlow Portable DVT System is used in the home or clinical setting to help prevent the onset of DVT in patients by stimulating blood flow in the extremities. It has 2 modes: slow inflation and Step-Up technology which allows the unit to increase pressure in slower increments. It provides 2 LCD screens to monitor usage and pressure.

PlasmaFlow Portable DVT System Features

  • A battery that lasts a long time, up to 10 hours on one charge.
  • There are two modes: one where the air keeps flowing continuously and another that slowly increases the pressure.
  • It has two screens to keep an eye on how it's working and the pressure.
  • It's easy to carry around, not heavy, and doesn't need any tubes.

Indications for Use

The PlasmaFlow model PF0001 is a simple, portable device that doctors can recommend for patients to use at home or in a clinic. It helps prevent DVT (a blood clot condition) by making the blood flow better in the arms and legs, kind of like how your muscles move.

This device can be used to:

  • Prevent DVT.
  • Make the blood flow better.
  • Reduce pain and swelling after surgery.
  • Speed up the healing of wounds.
  • Help treat skin problems like stasis, dermatitis, and ulcers.
  • Reduce swelling in the legs.
  • It's also handy for people who will be sitting still for a long time to lower their DVT risk.

Contraindications

  • Do not use PlasmaFlow for these situations:
  • People with certain health issues like deep vein clots, bad artery disease, severe heart problems, bad leg inflammation, or untreated infections.
  • Also, don't use it on legs with issues like damaged veins, dying tissue, skin problems, fresh skin grafts, a lot of swelling, or really messed-up legs.
  • Avoid using it on people with nerve problems or legs that can't feel pain.
  • Don't use it if you don't want more blood and lymph fluid going back to the heart.
