Contraindications of Deroyal Hand Control Mitts

• Never use on a patient if an I.V. or wound site could be compromised by the device
• Do not use on a patient who is or may become highly aggressive or agitated

Warnings for Deroyal Hand Control Mitts

• Ensure that the circulation is not compromised
• Check the mitts to avoid any difficulty while using the mittens
• Use hospital-approved bed safety guidelines
• Secure the mittens to that potion that moves with the patient. Do not secure straps to bedside rails
• Always keep excess straps out of the patient's reach
• Check the patient regularly per the hospital's policies and procedures
