How to install MTS Transfer Handle?

  • For Spring Based Installation Instructions:
    • Place handle support board in position just above the pivot point of the head of the bed.
    • Secure the discs with knobs from the underside of the bed springs.
    • Install handle into receiving tubes making sure snap buttons lock in place.
  • For Pan Style Installation Instructions:
    • When clamping to bed make sure Z Clip captures the downward leg of the bed pan surface.
      Note: Model 6025H uses a J Hook on the non handle side to secure the unit to the bed.
    • Position unit just above the hinge on the upper portion of the bed. This is the hinge that allows the bed to ratchet up and down. Important: Do not overlap this hinge with the mounting base. This will prevent the bed from ratcheting up and down.
    • When attaching second side, insert center tube (D) into both of the square tubes.
    • When both sides are positioned properly tighten five star knobs. These knobs should be tightened securely so the unit has no slippage. Re-check tightness periodically.
    • Insert handle into receiving tubes allowing snap buttons to lock into position.
  • Do Not Use this product or any available optional equipment without first completely reading & understanding these instructions before attempting to use this equipment otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
  • The Transfer Handle is not intended to prevent an individual from inadvertently rolling out of bed.
  • Do Not Use for confinement or restraint purposes. DO NOT use to transport or move bed.
  • Entrapment May Occur. Proper patient assessment and monitoring, and proper maintenance and use of equipment is required to reduce the risk of entrapment. Variations in mattress thickness, size or density could increase the risk of entrapment. Remove bed rails and all bed rail mounting brackets prior to installation of the Transfer Handle.
  • Although the Transfer Handle model is rated for such use, it may become deformed or broken if excessive force is exerted on the device. The installation should be checked and rechecked periodically for safety.
  • After installation, verify the mattress is in firm contact with the Transfer Handle.
  • Check that the mattress cannot shift away, immediately discontinue use if this occurs until the situation is corrected.
  • The Transfer Handle is designed to accommodate a range of different bed manufacturers. If the device does not easily attach to the bed per the instructions or interferes with the sub-frame, or the mattress does not firmly make contact with the Transfer Handle – Do Not Use.

What is HPFY’s return policy?

  1. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of the receipt of your order. Returns are not accepted after 30 days.
  2. Items (including parts and accessories) must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition in its original packaging.
  3. Before returning any product, the buyer must obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) from a customer service representative. With your RA# you will receive a prepaid return shipping label.
  4. Orders returned without obtaining an RA# will be entitled to receive only "In-Store Credit" that can be used towards future purchases.
  5. Return orders are subject to a 20% restocking fees.
  6. All custom orders and hygienic items are non-returnable. Refer to the “Non-Returnable Items” section for further details.
  7. Returns will be reviewed and inspected before issuing credit. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing. The credit will be applied to your original method of payment.
  8. If the return is the result of a defective product or shipping error, we will refund the entire purchase amount and return shipping costs.

Which products are Non-Returnable?

Due to the hygienic nature of some items, they are non-returnable. The items listed below are non-returnable:

  3. Anything opened, used, or tried on.
  4. All customized items.
  5. Besides these, items that have the “non-returnable” phrase on the website.

We reserve the right to make adjustments due to errors, changing market conditions, product discontinuation or typographical errors in advertisements. Images on the site may not always reflect the actual product. Footrests or leg-rests are not included with wheelchairs unless specified.

How do I receive a return authorization number?

You can submit a return request by logging into your account. You will receive the Return Authorization Number (RA#) details in the email within 2-3 business days.

  • Fill out the return form and Submit it

If you do not have an email address, we will make other accommodations for RA# Details. Write the RA# on your label affixed to your package prior to shipment.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to process the returns. Once the item is received, and inspected, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Is there any Restocking Fees?

  1. 20% restocking fees will be applied.
  2. Outbound shipping cost is non-refundable.
  3. For orders that qualified for free shipping, $8.99 will be deducted from the refund if the product is returned.
