3M Tegaderm Silicone Foam Border Dressing is an absorbent, breathable, wound dressing. 3M Tegaderm Silicone Foam Dressings feature an innovative, multi-layer design that wicks moisture away from the wound surface, and distributes and locks moisture on the back of the dressing, limiting backward migration and protecting periwound skin. As the dressing absorbs, user will see discoloration, which is completely normal. When the exudate spreads to the edges of the secondary layer, it’s time for a dressing change.

Why Choose 3M Tegaderm Silicone Foam Border Dressing?

  • Unique multi-layer design
  • Thin, low-profile edge
  • Highly absorbent
  • Sterile
  • Longer wear time
  • Easy application

3M Tegaderm Silicone Foam Dressing Features

  • Highly conformable and features a thin, low-profile edge, helping to minimize the rolling and lifting that can impact adhesion and wear time for wound management and pressure ulcer/injury prevention
  • Unique multi-layer design that absorbs and evaporates moisture to help reduce the potential for skin maceration
  • Patented spoke delivery system enables easy application, even with gloves on, so your other hand is free to position the patient
  • Provides a water resistant seal while dressing is intact
  • Dressing does not stick to wound bed thereby minimizing disruption of healing tissue
  • 3M Tegaderm film backing combines 3M’s adhesive innovation and film expertise in a breathable dressing cover
  • Moisture control layer helps maintain an optimal moisture balance by facilitating evaporation through the film backing
  • Super absorbent layer further pulls moisture away and locks it in place to help minimize the backward migration that can cause periwound maceration
  • Fenestrated foam layer improves flexibility and moisture absorption to help minimize the disruption of healing tissue
  • Proprietary silicone adhesive keeps the dressing in place without damaging the wound area while allowing exudate to pass through
  • Had significantly less fluid accumulation on the wound side of the dressing compared to the leading silicone foam dressing competitor
  • Offer significantly longer wear time than the leading competitive silicone foam dressing while being gentle to the skin
  • Tegaderm film backing prevents strikethrough and protects against external bacteria and viruses
