Hydrofera Blue Classic Antibacterial Foam Dressing provides a protective antibacterial cover that inhibits the growth of microorganisms. It is made by binding two organic pigments methylene blue and gentian violet in open-celled polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) that work to help bind bacteria and harmful endotoxins to the dressings. The micro pore structure of PVA foam rapidly wicks excess moisture away from wound.
