Relaxation Tidbits

RELAXATION TIDBITS

RELEASE THE TENSION IN YOUR JAW

Open your mouth wide for half a minute or so, breathing naturally through your nose. When you you’ve stretched a bit, allow your mouth to gently close.

IDENTIFY WHAT YOU CAN’T CONRTOL

Think about precisely what you’re concerned about and then ask if you have any control over it. If the answer is no, let it go.

TEND TO YOURSELF

Tending is care with intention like going for a walk in the sunshine. It brings calm, order, and a deep reminder that you’re cared for.

USE YOUR BREATH

We often forget to focus on one of the simplest activities available to us: our breath. Yoga teacher Anna Guest - Jelley suggest taking 5 deep breaths.

JOURNAL

Unwind by writing pages in a journal or jot down one or two lines about your day to relieve stress and relax.

PLAY

Play is a wonderful way to unwind, especially for grown-ups. Play is anything that’s purposeless and pleasurable.
