When to use Lyofoam Max?

Lyofoam Max polyurethane foam dressing is designed for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds such as leg ulcers and pressure ulcers. Through an excellent exudate management, it creates a moist wound environment optimal for wound healing.

How to use Lyofoam Max Foam Dressing?

  • Clean the wound area.
  • Select the appropriate size of Lyofoam Max polyurethane foam dressing.
  • The dressing should overlap the wound margin by about 2 cm.
  • Place the foam side directly onto the wound surface, with the shiny side of the dressing facing up.
  • Secure the dressing with an appropriate bandage such as Tubifast, Tubigrip or a fixation tape such as Mefix.

Frequency of change:

Lyofoam dressing may be left in place for several days depending on the:
  • Nature and condition of the wound
  • Level of exudate
