Hardy Diagnostics Blood Agar MacConkey Biplate section 1 is for the selective and differential isolation of gram-negative bacteria, especially the enterobacteriaceae. The advanced formula controls the swarming of proteus. Section 2 is a general non-selective growth medium for bacteria, yeast, and fungi and also contains 5% sheep blood from a veterinary supervised, controlled herd of donor animals.
