Edan SonoTrax Basic Fetal Doppler is a simple digital heart monitor that allows moms or health care providers to hear and read the sound of the fetal heartbeat (FHR). The user can choose between auto and manual settings on this fetal doppler, depending on their preferences. For fetal heartbeat monitoring, the auto mode uses real-time FHR and averaged FHR measurement setups. A display of the fetal heart rate updates in 5 or 10-second intervals for a computed measurement in the manual mode. On the built-in LCD screen, monitor information and user interface settings are displayed. The waterproof probe may be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for up to 5 hours and still produce acoustically correct ultrasonography of a baby's heartbeat (the primary doppler unit is not waterproof).
