How to clean Drive Medical Gravity 9 Care Pressure Redistribution Mattress?

• Mattresses Must be cleaned regularly after each patient use. Because of the potential risk of infectious exposure, cleaning with the patient on the bed is not recommended.
• All equipment should be inspected
• Any item that is visibly soiled with the patient's blood or other body fluids should be properly cleaned or removed
• Staff members should treat all soiled bedding as if it were contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms
• Staff members should wear appropriate protective clothing when cleaning mattresses
• All cleaning solutions must be properly diluted according to the manufacturers; instructions
• Follow standard institutional wipe down and infection control procedures
• Do not open the zippered mattress top cover during cleaning, infection control procedures or during use
• Do not launder or autoclave mattress covers
• Wipe down the mattress unit with a damp cloth pre-soaked with warm water containing a mild detergent
• Approved intermediate level disinfectants may be used according to the cover material
• After cleaning, please avoid dust and proximity to dusty areas
• All parts should be air dried thoroughly before use
