3M Coban Wrap works like tape, but only attaches to itself. It is made up of a nonwoven fabric laminated with elastic threads that are positioned lengthwise to generate elasticity. The elastic wrap is made of a cohesive substance that allows it to attach to itself rather than other fabrics or skin. There are a range of widths and colours to choose from.

3M Coban Dressing User Manual
1. After placing a sterile dressing on the wound (and a cold pack, if necessary)*, hold the end of the Coban LF Wrap with Hand Tear over the pack and unwind approximately 12". Let the wrap relax. Place the wrap without stretching.
2. Continue unwinding Coban LF Wrap with Hand Tear from the roll and complete two full wraps around the head. Tear the wrap from the roll according to the general application instructions.
3. With the last 2" of the wrap relaxed, press the end of the wrap firmly against the underlying wrap, “hugging” the layers together.
4. To remove, unwrap the wrap or use a bandage scissors to cut the wrap away at a point furthest from the wound.
