With the Skil-Care Heel Float Walker Boot, you may rotate, stand up, and transfer. When the patient is standing, a removable tread pad can be placed on the bottom of the boot; it can then be taken off when the patient is sitting or lying down again. The Skil-Care Heel Float Walker Boot's anti-foot-drop design suspends the heel over an air cavity to gently provide a zero-gravity environment to assist ulcer healing by removing pressure and preventing further sore formation. The Boot also has a wipe-clean exterior shell and a plush, moisture-wicking cotton liner. The ankle can rest comfortably thanks to a cool, water-based gel insert, which also relieves any additional pressure from lifting the heel. The gel insert can be warmed in water or cooled in the refrigerator for hot/cold therapy.
