Prodigy Control Solution is a glucose-based liquid that reacts with test strips to generate a test result. It ensures accurate blood glucose testing in a rapid and simple manner. The Prodigy blood glucose monitoring systems and test strips are compatible with this glucose management solution. The two controls test the meter at the low and high end of the glucose range. You should use both control solutions whenever you open a new vial of test strips, change batteries, or make other adjustments to your glucose meter because the device may not be accurate throughout the glucose ranges.

How to use Prodigy Solution?

Wash your hands and insert a test strip into your meter
When the meter is on, mark the test as a control solution test.
Shake the bottle of control solution and squeeze the bottle to get a drop on a tissue paper or cotton pad.
Squeeze a second drop onto your fingertip.
Apply that drop to the test strip. You're good to go if the results are within the range printed on the test strip vial.
If results are outside of this range, repeat the test.
