Medline Excel Translator Combination Rollator And Transport Chair

Have had product for 19 months. First day in use the support pin for back came out and patient almost fell out of chair. Had about 9 months without problems. Then pins holding foot holders came loose and some were lost. Breaks did not hold well and were difficult to adjust. One brake line broke and could not be replaced due to permanent brake handle design that could not be removed. The rotating back support was evidently bent during shipping on an airplane (checked at gate) and the seat and frame wedged together when folded up and has to be pried apart with a screwdriver. This last problem as well as the safety problem with the brakes makes it currently useless. The unit also has a problem going over slight pavement misalignments. Even those designed by the cities to transition from street to sidewalk. Several times my wife was dumped out of the chair when coming to an unexpected stop on misalignments of less than 1/2 inch. When this unit was fully functional, it was really great for use in malls and taking on trips. It needs some design changes to make it more safer and more functional.
