How to apply Optifoam Gentle Foam Dressing?

1. Cleanse the wound environment using an appropriate wound cleanser.
2. Ensure the skin surrounding the wound is dry and apply appropriate skin prep, as preferred
3. Remove the center release liner from the dressing and slide the dressing under the heel. Position dressing at the base of the heel (as shown to the right).
4. Apply the adherent part of the foam dressing to the posterior heel/Achilles tendon.
5. Remove backing from the top left and right ankle lobes.
6. Apply and smooth.
7. Remove backing from the bottom flaps.
8. Apply and smooth upward towards the malleolus.
9. Press and smooth dressing throughout to ensure adherence to the skin.
10. To perform a skin check: gently release the bottom flaps from the skin and peel back towards the Achilles until enough skin is exposed for skin check.

How to remove Medline Foam Dressing?

1. Gently pull the bottom flaps to release the dressing from the skin.
2. Gently release flaps covering ankle lobes.
3. Continue gentle release of dressing until completely removed.
