How to Assemble Guardian Freedom Rollator?

  • Carefully remove the rollator components from the shipping carton.
    • 1 Rollator Frame
    • 6 Triangular Hand Screws
    • 1 Bag with Shoulder Strap
    • 2 Front Wheels
    • 2 Rear Wheels
    • 1 Backrest with Push-Buttons
    • 2 Hand Grips with Brake Assembly
  • Examine all parts for shipping damage. DO NOT use the rollator if there is apparent damage or if any parts (other than the bag) are missing. If there are missing or damaged parts, please call Medline Customer Care toll free at 1-800-MEDLINE.
  • Check all of the wheels to see that they are in good working order and roll freely. Remove plastic cover from the wheels before use.
  • Unfold the Medline Rollator by pushing down on the Folding Hinge (G) until the frame is in full extension.

Rear Wheel Assembly

  1. Turn wheel so that it is facing outside of rollator.
  2. Insert wheel to desired height depicted by numeric holes.
  3. Insert triangular hand screw into hole on same side of wheel so that the triangular hand screw stays outside of rollator frame.
  4. Tighten triangular hand screw until secure.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for other rear wheel.

Front Wheel Assembly

  1. When inserting front wheel make sure FRONT sticker is pointed toward the front and away from rollator.
  2. Insert wheel to desired height depicted by numbered holes.
  3. Place triangular hand screw into hole. Make sure triangular hand screw stays outside of rollator frame.
  4. Tighten triangular screw until secure
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for other front wheel.

Brake Handle Assembly

  1. Insert hand grip into appropriate hole
  2. Insert triangular hand screw into hole on outside of rollator frame
  3. Hand tighten screw until secure
  4. Repeat steps 1-4 for other hand grip

Backrest Assembly

  • Insert backrest into designated slot so that push-buttons are facing outward
  • Push buttons in and continue to insert backrest until buttons securely lock into holes

I just bought the Guardian Freedom Ultra-Light Rollator on March 8 and I have a question.  It says it has a life time warranty it not misused.  My question is about the wheels.  How well do they hold up using the rollator on cement surfaces, tar surfaces, gravel surfaces.  I will only be using it on that kind of surface when I go on a trip with my church or family.  Please answer at [email protected]  I had asked a question on 11 March but no answer so am rewriting my question.  Please answer.  Thank you.

For Guardian UltraLight Freedom Rollator, it is recommended that 

Avoid walking in very hot or very cold whether.
Walk on soft ground. Softer ground is more foot friendly than cement or asphalt. If possible walk on grass or dirt paths that are flat, even and well manicured.

I just purchased the Freedom Rollator Ultra Light - my question concerns the durability of the rollator wheels.  Are they warranted for a certain length of time - I will be using this rollator on cement surface, tar surface and gravel and of course inside my home.  Please reply.

After you fold the rollator how do you  tou keep it folded so you can put it in the car?

Guardian UltraLight Freedom Rollator folds by opening the seat and grabbing a handle inside at the bottom of the fabric basket and pulling upward, which makes the whole unit fold and flatten as you lift. It does not go completely flat - but enough to go up/down stairs and to place it into a vehicle easily.
