GeeWhiz Male External Condom Catheter is a silicone that fits over the penis like a condom with a tube that extends to allow urine to flow into a separate attached leg bag. The leg bag can then be emptied through an attached valve. This catheter uses no adhesives to prevent slippage. Instead, it has a unique patented inner sticky gel seal that wraps around right behind the penis. Then the condom catheter rolls over it.

What to buy with GeeWhiz Male External Catheter

How to use GeeWhiz External Catheter?

  • Firstly, Place the Gee Whiz condom catheter outside the penis.
  • After it has been applied, the connector is placed over the nozzle, and the connector tubing is attached to a leg or bedside (bed) drainage bag to collect urine from the user.
  • A urinary leg bag can be strapped inconspicuously to either leg. It is suggested that use the bedside drainage bag at night.
  • The larger capacity of the bed bag helps the user (and caregiver) get a good night's sleep without any interruptions.

GeeWhiz ICP Male External Catheter with Pouch FAQ

When should catheters be used?

If you have urinary incontinence or urinary retention, your doctor may advise you to use a catheter.

How do I know what size condom catheter I need?

Measure around the shaft of the penis and then divide that number by 3.14 (pie), how you get the diameter. The condom catheters are sized in millimeters and are based on the diameter of your penis, not the circumference.

How to remove an external male catheter?

Gently lift a bit of catheter from the skin, then pull the catheter material gently towards "off" while gently pulling the skin towards the body. No need to pinch it, just a bit of thumb pressure and pull toward the body.

How often should the Condom Catheter be replaced?

The External condom catheter should be replaced daily; it should never be reused. This will help avoid infections.

How do I clean the bags?

  • The bags should be cleaned using a disinfectant solution especially designed for medical devices.
  • Control III disinfectant solution is available in most pharmacies or hospital equipment supply companies.
  • An alternative is to dilute 2 ½ (1¼ oz) tablespoons of vinegar in one quart (32 oz) of water and rinse the bags out with the solution.
  • After using any disinfectant solution, be sure to thoroughly rinse bag with clean water.
