The mattress seems have a Vibrating mechanism but only at one end of the bubble pad mattress. So we put it at the HEAD OF THE MATTRESS (ALONG WITH THE PUMP) THINKING THIS MIGHT HELP OUR 86 YEAR OLD MOTHER SLEEP BETTER.  SHOULD THE PUMB AND TUBINGS BE AT THE HEAD OF THE BED OR THE FOOT OF THE BED..........DOES IT MATTER????????????

The inflation tubes of Med Aire Alternating Pressure Pump and Pad should be towards the foot end so that they can be connected to the inflation nozzles on the pump.
And also hang the pump over the frame or board at the foot end of the bed to make sure the pump is secured.
