What to buy with Breg Walker Boot

How to use Breg Control Range of Motion Walker Boot?

  • Pads may be inserted to accommodate extra space on either side of the ankle or at the heel. The larger tongue pad should be positioned over the top of the foot.
  • Place foot and leg inside liner with heel firmly against the back. Close liner tightly, left to right, securing the velcro closures.
  • Position heel of the foot against the rocker boot. Brace uprights should be positioned mid-line over the ankle. Press the uprights firmly against the liner.
NOTE: Uprights may be contoured to the individual patient if required. Use table edge for bending.
  • Optional A-P inserts provide additional support when indicated. Apply the anterior and posterior inserts no less than 1" above the ankle joint to avoid pressure from the distal edges when walking.
NOTE: If needed, contour A-P inserts with the heat gun, trim with heavy scissors.
  • Tighten foot straps. Apply top three straps, alternate their direction, and tighten.
  • After properly applying the Controlled Range of Motion Walker, determine the required angle of dorsiflexion and plantar flexion. Use an Allen wrench to adjust the limit screws.
