Care tips for 2-Way Silicone Foley Catheter

• Do not resterilize any portion of this catheter
• Reuse and/or repackaging may create a risk of patient or user infection, compromise the structural integrity and/or essential material and design characteristics of the catheter, which may lead to injury, illness, or death of the patient
• Aggressive traction, particularly in the presence of suturing is not recommended for 100% silicone catheters
• Should balloon rupture occur, care should be taken to ensure that all balloon fragments have been removed from the patient
• Do not exceed the recommended balloon capacities
• Sterile unless the package is opened or damaged

Warnings:

• On the catheter, do not use ointments or lubricants having a petrolatum base. They will damage latex and may cause balloons to burst
• After use, this catheter may be a potential biohazard. Handle and dispose of by accepted medical practice and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Visually inspect the product for any imperfections or surface deterioration before use. Use a Luer tip syringe to inflate with the stated mL of sterile water OR for pre-filled products, remove the clip and squeeze the reservoir to inflate with the stated mL of sterile water.
• Store catheters at room temperature away from direct exposure to light, preferably in the original box.
