How to use 3M Jet Disinfecting Cap

1. Peel foil from the 3M Curos Jet Disinfecting Cap
2. Push & Twist the Curos disinfecting cap clockwise onto the end of the needleless connector
3. Wait for 1 minute (leave the cap on the connector if there is sufficient time before the next access)
4. Dispose of the Curos Jet Disinfecting Cap immediately after use

Things to keep in mind -

• If the needleless connector is heavily soiled, clean it with a 70% isopropyl alcohol swab prior to using the cap
• Do not use a cap if the seal is broken, torn, or punctured.
• Cap must remain on needleless connector for a minimum of one (1) minute and may remain on for seven (7) days if not removed.
• The needleless connector can be accessed immediately after removing the Curos Jet disinfecting cap that has been in place for a minimum of one (1) minute.
• Always place a new Curos Jet disinfecting cap on the needleless connector following the completion of valve access.
• Follow hospital protocol for disinfecting needleless connectors, if performing sequential accesses
