The Medline Sterile Multi-Trauma Abdomen Pads are sterile abdominal pads that are very absorbent and include a cellulose core and soft, non-woven layer that lift and separate fluid from the wound. The pad's first layer contains a soft non-woven core that enables rapid lifting and wicking to the middle layer, which is made of cellulose. The fluid is absorbed by the extra thick middle layer, which then spreads out over the remaining area of the dressing. The edges are sealed to avoid linting, while the back layer is manufactured of hydrophobic material to prevent strike-through. Each pad is individually wrapped, has a surface area of up to 300 square inches, and is free of latex.
