• Bacteria become inactive, preventing toxin release and replication
• DACC is a highly hydrophobic fatty acid derivative, that wound bacteria find very attractive
• Catches or binds bacteria and removes it from the wound bed versus killing it, like silver and other antimicrobial dressings
• This helps to keep the cell wall intact, allowing for natural healing and long-term prevention of infections, across the wound care continuum
• Bacteria become irreversibly bound to the DACC-coated dressing fibers, and to each other, so they are unable to move back to the wound bed

How to Use Sorbact Wound Swab?

• Prepare the wound according to local clinical practice
• Remove the dressing from the pouch using an aseptic technique
• In cavity wounds, apply the dressing in such a way as to ensure direct contact with the complete wound surface
• Apply an appropriate secondary dressing
• The dressing change frequency depends on exudate levels and the overall condition of the wound and surrounding skin
• Should the clinical condition allow, the dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days
