Keep hydrated by drinking water before, during and after exercise or playing sports. Also it is very important to cool down after activity. Wear a compression brace if you are at risk of an injury or have a history of previous injuries.

Sports injuries usually accompany pain and swelling at the site of injury. For the initial few days, use RICE therapy—Rest, Ice packs, Compression and Elevation to ease the pin and swelling due to the injury.
