Slice some cucumbers and lemons and add them to the bottom of a pitcher. Use a wooden spoon to mash them up a bit. Add water and refrigerate for 1 hour. Lemons help to kick-start digestion while flushing out toxins and the vitamin C will brighten your skin.
Add 8 whole strawberries and 10 fresh pinched basil leaves to a pitcher. Mash them and refrigerate for a few hours (overnight is best). Strawberries are high in antioxidants, potassium, vitamin C, and many other nutrients. Basil has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
Add one sliced lemon, one sliced lime, 15 fresh mint leaves and about 2 inches of fresh sliced ginger to a pitcher. Let sit for a few hours, or overnight for a stronger flavor. The anti-inflammatory properties in ginger can soothe nausea or a sore throat.
Cut a small fresh pineapple and a ripe mango into chunks. Add 40 ounces of filtered water and let sit for at least 6 hours. Pineapple is chock-full of bromelain, an anti-inflammatory enzyme. Mangoes improve digestion and reduce bloating.
