• Dosage and Administration:
  - Dosage of PKU Express should be determined by the clinician or dietitian and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.
  - The daily protein requirement is given as PKU Express (100gm is equivalent to 60gm of protein)
  - Additional protein is provided from exchanges of natural protein, to provide phenylalanine in controlled amounts, which is essential for growth and development.
  - Foods high in carbohydrate and fat, but low in protein, should be provided to supply the remainder of the energy
• Guidelines for Preparation and Use:
  - Empty the contents of a sachet into a beaker (provided) and add cold water to about half way up the beaker (approximately 80ml). Secure the lid and shake for 10 seconds or until powder has dissolved.
  - Serve and drink immediately
  - Ideally the product should be freshly prepared and used immediately.
  - Any unused portions should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
  - Re-shake before use
  
• Storage:
  - Store in a cool, dry place.
  - Packets are designed for single use and should be used once opened
