How to care for Trulife Swim Form?
To ensure long-lasting performance and satisfaction, please follow these care and cleaning instructions:
- Treat triangle swim form as you would your own skin/body. Take care with sharp objects. Fingernails, brooches, scissors and pets claws can cause permanent damage to the Trulife Breast Form film. Do not pinch, rub or wring the form at any time.
- Be fit by a professionally trained mastectomy fitter. This will ensure proper bra fit and reduce the likelihood of causing permanent damage to the breast prosthesis for swimming.
- Avoid applying powder, perfume, deodorant, cream, moisturizer, tanning products or any lotions to the Trulife Active Flow, as well as to the chest wall.
- Wash Trulife Active Flow Symmetrical Triangle Swim Form by hand daily with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly, then towel dry. Do not wring.
- Store Trulife breast prosthesis in its original packaging and away from direct heat when not being worn. This allows the breast form to maintain its shape and protect it from accidental harm.
- In the unlikely event the breast forms for swimming contain small air bubbles, please allow a few days for them to dissipate. Air bubbles do not affect the integrity or performance of the form.
- It should only be worn when the surgical site is completely healed and radiation treatments are finished. Do not wear if skin is broken or irritated. If any irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately and contact your physician.
How to measure Trulife Breast Prosthesis?
- Select the proper shape and size of the remaining breast.
- Consider the best style bra that fits your natural breast.
- Take a soft tape measure and measure around the body where your bra band fits (with a bra on).
- Pull the tape snug but not tight. This will give you your band size. Please ensure that the tape is even all around your body.
- Next, measure from the center of the chest wall, on top of the existing breast to the center of the back.
- Double that measurement and that should give you an approximate measurement of how to figure the cup size. Uneven numbers- round off to the next whole number.
- Subtract the band size from the measurement of the cup size. Each 1inch difference is a cup size (Band size 34inch, cup measurement, 36inch–should be 34 B).

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the breast form stay in place during swimming?
The Trulife Active Flow Breast Form is designed to fit securely against the body and is typically worn inside a specially designed mastectomy swimwear or pocketed swimsuit. The swimsuit holds the breast form in place and provides additional support.
How long does the breast form last?
The longevity of the breast form can vary depending on individual usage and care. With proper maintenance and regular cleaning, the breast form should last for a considerable period. However, it is recommended to periodically inspect the form for signs of wear and tear and consult with a healthcare professional for guidance on replacement.
Can I swim in saltwater or chlorinated pools with the breast form?
Yes, it is designed to withstand exposure to saltwater and chlorinated pools. However, rinsing the form with clean water after swimming in these environments is recommended to remove any residue and maintain its quality.
Can I wear the breast form directly against my skin?
