What to buy with Oxygen Concentrator Tubing

How to use Sunset Healthcare Nasal Cannula?

  1. Attach the cannula to the oxygen source with a tube.
  2. Set the oxygen flow to the level prescribed by a physician.
  3. Turn on the device and ensure oxygen flows through uninterrupted.
  4. Insert the nasal prongs into the nostrils with the curve facing down.
  5. Draw the tubes over the ears and comfortably rest against the cheekbones.
  6. Adjust the slider, so it rests comfortably under the chin to secure in place.

How to manage Oxygen Tubing?

  • 1 Easily implementable task will be using bright, colorful tapes - just apply tapes in equal intervals.
  • For active users who use walking aids, just loop the tubing around the handle of the walker or cane.
  • In other active oxygen therapy, users who do not use any walking aids can resort to looping the access tubing around the wrist of their non-dominating hand (make sure the loops aren't too tight)
  • For bed-ridden patients, tubing can be looped around the bed rails or gently placed by the side of their pillow.
