More Information

  • Active ingredients:
    - Hydrogen Peroxide (1.5%) (oral debridging agent)
  • Inactive Ingredients:
    - Water, Flavor, Phosphoric Acid, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Saccharin, FD&C Blue 1, FD&C Yellow 6
  • Directions for use:
    - Use up to 4 times daily or as directed by a dentist or doctor
    - Adults and children 2 years and over: rinse mouth (1/2 tsp) for approximately one minute
    - Children under 12 years : Should be supervised in the use of this product
    - Children under 2 years: Ask a dentist or doctor
  • Caution:
    - Do not use for more than 7 days unless told to do so by a healthcare professional
    - Avoid swallowing
    - Stop use and ask a doctor if sore mouth symptoms do not improve in 7 days or if swelling, rash or fever develops or if irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens
    - Keep out of reach of children
    - If more than used for debridging is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away

I have seen this used at hospitals and they do not ask the patients to avoid swallowing.  Nurse said it was ok to swallow.  What are the risks if this is used daily and swallowed?

The label reads to rinse mouth with this product and spit out. Do not swallow the product.
