Rolyan Sof Stretch Short Extension Finger Splint easily adjusts for finger width as plastic-coated wires accommodate finger size and fluctuations in edema. Finger Splint provides dynamic force to assist the PIP into extension while allowing full motion of the MCP joint. It is ideal for PIP joint tightness and boutonniere deformity. An angled distal pad reduces pressure by providing complete surface contact on the middle phalanx, applying pressure evenly.

Sof Stretch Short Extension Finger Splint Highlights

  • Plastic coated wires
  • Latex-free
  • Angled distal pad
  • Hand wash with warm water and mild soap
  • Air dry thoroughly before reapplication

Rolyan Sof Finger Splint Features

  • Hold the proximal and distal pads and gently slide the splint onto the finger.
  • The positioning of the proximal pad depends on which splint is being used.
The Rolyan Sof Stretch Extension Splint: position the proximal pad on the volar aspect of the MCP head
The Rolyan SofStretch Short Extension Splint (both styles): position the proximal pad distal to the volar aspect of the MCP head
  • The distal pad should rest at or proximal to the DIP joint, and the dorsal pad should be proximal to the PIP joint.
  • To increase the force of extension, with the splint off the finger apply pressure to the volar pads, bending them away from each other and flattening the splint.
  • To decrease the force of extension, with the splint off the finger squeeze the two volar pads together under the dorsal pad.
  • The width of the splint can be increased by stretching the wires laterally. Do not attempt to make major modifications in the splint instead, use a different size.
