Rolyan Gel Padding is only  hand washed: The padding may be washed with soap and water and sanitized with disinfectants and then wiped dry with a soft towel. When removing for cleaning purposes, the pad should be handled and stored only in a flat horizontal position. If the skin of the pad is broken, one may apply talcum powder to the exposed area to remove tackiness. Small punctures or cuts may be repaired with pressure sensitive tape. A cover should always be used on the pad to protect it from directed sunlight.

WAYS TO ADHERE GEL PAD TO SPLINT OR OTHER SURFACE:
1. CAN USE ALL PURPOSE CONTACT CEMENT- APPLY TO SURFACE OF AKTON AND OTHER SURFACE, LET SET UP SLIGHTLY- AND YOU SHOULD GET A PRETTY GOOD BOND.
2. DOUBLE FACE TAPE.
3. SELF ADHESIVE HOOK & LOOP MATERIAL.

Can 2 sheets be stuck together to make a thicker pad?

Rolyan Gel Padding goes up to ¼” thick (item # A731503). Two sheets can be put together to make it thicker, but it couldn’t be melded together to keep it from slipping.

Does an adhesive come with the gel sheets? Or how do you recommend attaching the gel to carbon ankle foot orthotics?

Thank you for your inquiry.

To adhere gel to a splint to other surface you can use all purpose cement. You would apply to the surface of Akton and other surface and let set up slightly, you should get a fairly good bond. You could also use double sided tape or self-adhesive hook and loop materials.

Can this be heated to conform to the back of my son's hand?  He plays football and is having recurring impact injury.  I am looking for something to fit inside his glove.

Thank you for reaching out to us. This gel pad is pliable and will not need to be heated to conform. It can be used in gloves, splints and in footwear to help diffuse and distribute pressure.
