Care and Cleaning of Aquaplast Resilient Splinting Material

The shelf life of low-temperature splinting materials is indefinite under the following conditions:
  • Store at less than 65% relative humidity
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to light, especially ultraviolet light
  • Avoid exposure to corrosive fumes and ethylene oxide fumes

Ideal temperature for cleaning:

  • 1/16" (1.6mm) 150°F to 160°F (65°C to 70°C) water for 35 seconds
  • 1/8" (3.2mm) 160°F to 170°F (70°C to 75°C) water for 1 minute

Ideal time period:

  • 1/16" (1.6mm) 1 to 2 minutes of working time
  • 1/8" (3.2mm) 4 to 6 minutes of working time
