Medtronic Sofsilk Nonabsorbable Taper Point Suture with Needle V-20

Medtronic Sofsilk Nonabsorbable Taper Point Suture with Needle V-20 is treated to remove the naturally-occurring sericin gum, bleached and braided to produce sofsilk surgical silk sutures. The braided sutures are available coated uniformly with silicone or wax to reduce capillarity and to increase surface lubricity to enhance handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue. Sofsilk sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.
