Medline Avant Deluxe Sterile Gauze Sponges are designed to absorb blood and other fluids as well as clean wounds. They are made of a unique rayon and polyester blend to provide improved strength and absorbency. These non-woven sponges have increased wicking ability as well as less lint as compared to the traditional woven sponges. Their increased material weight helps to provide a more efficient sponge than the traditional Avant line by reducing the number of sponges that have to be used for each procedure.
