The loop of the polypectomy snare uses stainless steel wire with a braided construction. Unlike with multi-loop versions, the single-loop tool uses wire that is soft rather than rigid.

How To Use Halyard Single Loop Polypectomy Snare?

Remove disposable polypectomy snare assembly from package and inspect for damage.
Form a gentle loop with the catheter. Advance and retract snare to observe and become familiar with the operation of the device. Retract snare before introducing through endoscope.
Attach grounding pad to patient.
Connect snare handle to active cord.
Connect active cord to monopolar outlet on electrosurgical unit.
Perform polypectomy as routine.
