How To Use Halyard Multiple Loop Polypectomy Snare?

  • Remove disposable polypectomy snare assembly from package and inspect for damage.
  • Form a gentle loop with the catheter. Advance and retract snare to observe and become familiar with the operation of the device. Retract snare before introducing through endoscope.
  • Attach grounding pad to patient.
  • Connect snare handle to active cord.
  • Connect active cord to monopolar outlet on electrosurgical unit.
  • Perform polypectomy as routine.
