Aircast PTTD Ankle Brace Instructions for Use

• Prepare brace
  - Unfasten the straps and open the ankle brace
• Apply a brace
  - Put on an absorbent sock. Slide the foot, toe first, into the back of the brace
  - Pull brace shells upward and align shells with the sides of the ankle
  - Wrap the lower strap around the back of the ankle and secure it snugly
  - Pull the arch support strap until it is snug under the arch
  - Wrap the arch support strap around the back of the ankle, then the front of the ankle, and secure it snugly
  - Put on lace shoes or sneakers
  - To adjust fit, tighten or loosen the arch support strap
• Adjust Aircell compression
  - The AirLift Aircell is initially deflated
  - To inflate the Aircell, firmly insert the hand bulb tip with white into the valve on the side of the brace
  - Squeeze the hand bulb until the brace is snug but comfortable
  - In the case of overinflation, deflate the Aircell
  - To deflate, insert the opposite tip of the hand bulb into the valve and squeeze the bulb

Cleaning Instructions of PTTD Brace:

• Separate the brace’s removable pads before cleaning
• The Airlift PTTD brace can be hand washed in cold water with mild soap and air-dried
• Do not allow liquid to enter the valve on the brace side
