How to use Coloplast Self Catheter?

1. Before using the catheter, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
2. Open the Coloplast female intermittent catheter package and remove the catheter. Make sure not to touch the tip of the catheter.
3. Position yourself comfortably, sitting on the toilet or standing with one foot on a chair or stool. You can also lie down on your back with your knees bent.
4. Using a sterile wipe or swab, clean the area around your urethra thoroughly to reduce the risk of infection.
5. Gently insert the tip of the catheter into your urethra. Slowly advance the catheter until urine begins to flow. Hold the catheter in place until the bladder is empty.
6. Once the bladder is empty, gently remove the catheter and discard it in a trash bin. Do not flush the catheter down the toilet.
