How to Use Intelect Shockwave Therapy System

• Let your patient rest in a relaxing position during the treatment session.
• Provide them a rolled-up towel under their limb for comfort if needed during an elevated treatment and make them feel comfortable.
• Localise the painful points you plan to treat and it might be a good idea to mark up the points with a felt tip pen.
• Select the most appropriate transmitters based on treatment goal and targeted tissue.
• Apply ultrasound water-based gel on the skin overlying the treatment area.
• Always start with a lower level of intensity and perform a post-treatment test to see for better function and decreased pain.

• Unpacking the Device:
  • Position the transport packaging so that the arrows are pointing upward and safely remove the safety bands from the packaging.
  • Using at least 2 people, lift the device from the lower packaging element and inspect the device for any damages before proceeding.
  • Verify that the packaging contains all the required components
  • Lift the equipment carefully from the box and place it on a clean and stable surface.
  • A pouch is provided with the device. That can be attached to the side of the device handle, useful for accessories storage.
  • The Gel Holder cup can be attached to any side of the device.
  • Lastly, attach the cable holder that is used to hang the handpiece cables.

• Falcon Handpiece Set Up
  • Unscrew the shaft from the handpiece and pull it out of the handpiece handle using the supplied open-end spanner.
  • Insert the new projectile into the fitted guiding tube.
  • Screw the shaft into the handpiece until finger-tight and using one hand, press the handpiece firmly onto the table and tighten the shaft.
  • Screw the transmitter screw cap with the required transmitter firmly back onto the shaft and make sure they are screwed firmly in place.
  • Lastly, connect the Falcon handpiece to the right connector on the device.

• Contaminated transmitters and gel can lead to infection. Disinfect the handpiece after each treatment.
• DO NOT operate this device in an environment where other devices are being used that intentionally radiate electromagnetic energy in an unshielded manner.
