How to change Catalyst Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Canister?
- Clamp the tubing closed

- Turn off by pressing the OFF Button
- Gently twist and pull the blue Twist N’ Connect end of the tubing counterclockwise and pull to remove the tubing from the canister

- Press the Canister Release Button found above the canister. Grasp the canister at the bottom and pull downward

- Cap the canister. Ask your healthcare professional how to properly dispose of a used canister.
- Hold the new, unused canister at the bottom and slide upwards
- Align the two ports on the canister lid to the two ports in the Catalyst and press the canister upwards until it “clicks” into place

- Reconnect the tubing to the canister by gently lining up the blue Twist N’ Connect end of the tubing to the blue Twist N’ Connect port on the canister, push down, and twist clockwise to lock into place.

- Reopen the tubing clamp

- Turn on by pressing the ON Button
How to reconnect Canister into Catalyst NPWT Device?
- Gently line up the blue Twist N’ Connect end of the tubing to the blue Twist N’ Connect port on the canister, push down and twist clockwise to lock into place
- Reopen the tubing clamp by pushing down on the top of the clamp until it releases. Note: Only applicable if clamp is present. If clamp is not present, skip to the next step.
- Turn the CATALYST on by pressing the ON Button to resume negative pressure wound therapy.
Note - During negative pressure wound therapy, when the canister fills with fluid, it should be replaced immediately. Fluids are not removed from the dressing once the canister is full.
