Aspen Vista 464 TLSO Back Brace provides patients with thoracolumbar spine support, as well as a versatile system that accommodates appropriate motion restriction throughout the healing process. All body types are accommodated by the three shoulder strap configurations and height adjustment technology for an effective and comfortable fit. The one-size adjustable Vista 464 TLSO, with many customization options, can be stepped down to the other three Vista Lower Spine configurations and comfortably fits waist sizes ranging from 26-60 inches, and up to 70 inches with the extension panel.

How to use Aspen Vista TLSO Brace?

Belt Sizing

  • Fit male rivets of belt through proper sizing adjustment holes in sizing mechanism.
  • For smaller sizes, slide side panel through sizing adjustment slot and then fit rivets through proper adjustment holes from the under side.
  • Once proper size is achieved, pull taught to lock rivets in place.

Placement & Adjust

  • Center back panel as low as possible. Slide abdominal panel and sternal pad sideways as needed to ensure brace and panel are at patient's midline.
  • For taller patients, add the bar extender to the abdominal panel sheath. Pry button back and slide aluminum strut so that the button locks into the appropriate hole.
  • To further adjust the sternal pad on the abdominal panel, press the button with leaf logo inward and raise or lower the sternal pad as needed.

Tighten

  • Pull strongly away from body. Tighten more than you need and then loosen to achieve a proper fit. Pull left tab to tighten lower, pull right to tighten upper as needed

Straps

  • Attach underarm control straps to sternal pad.
  • Pull underarm control straps to tighten as needed.
  • Underarm control straps and sternal pad should fit securely to patient's anatomy.
  • Under arm control straps can be positioned to fit over the shoulders.
  • Note: If needed, the support strut can be bent to ensure a proper fit.

Over Shoulder Option

  • If buckles are needed, add a buckle to strap ends and secure buckle. Attach buckles to the top of the TLSO back panel.

Modify Panel

  • When necessary, reduce overall width of posterior panel by removing from sleeve and utilize trim lines to cut to appropriate size.
  • Lateral panel placement can be adjusted in the sleeve or trimmed to ensure panels sit at midline on the patient.
