What to buy with Trigger Finger Solution Splint

How to Measure Size of Active Trigger Finger Splint?

  • For size measure finger circumference mid-way between the base of the finger and the PIP joint
  • Due to anatomical differences or swelling, a larger size may be necessary
  • Once you have determined the size for the locked finger, with your palm facing you, turn the trigger finger pad to where the seam is facing the back of your hand, the logo is facing you, and the extended u-shaped padding is pointing down
  • Slide the trigger finger pad down to the base of your finger
  • The extended padding should rest on your palm
  • Once the trigger finger is in place, if it feels too snug or your finger starts to discolor, you need to choose a larger size
Note: If the u-shaped padding extends past the dotted line on your palm, you may need to trim the padding to ensure an efficient and comfortable fit.

Precautions to take While using Trigger Finger Splint

  • If an open cut or injury is present, do not apply Trigger Finger Solution over the wound.
  • Warmth and perspiration of the skin may be experienced at the location of the padding.

Question

Pamela     08/16/2014

How do I determine the correct size?

Answer

Customer Care    08/04/2018

Determine the correct size by measuring the circumference between the base of the finger and the PIP joint, much like you would size a ring. The Active Innovations Trigger Finger Solution Splint has a very tight fit when sized properly. If you aren't sure which size to purchase due to your measurement falling into two size categories, it is recommended that you purchase the larger size. Example: Your finger measures 2 ½". In this case, it is recommended you purchase a size medium, rather than a size small.

Question

Martha     08/11/2014

What is trigger finger?

Answer

Customer Care    08/11/2014

Trigger finger is a common problem that can cause a locking sensation and pain in one or more fingers. This disorder is usually caused by repeatedly grasping or gripping a certain object (steering wheel while driving, a racket while playing tennis or badminton, or even a cellphone, for instance), which eventually breaks down the fat pad at the base of the finger. When this fat pad starts to break down, the tendon underneath—which is responsible for helping the finger bend—begins to swell. It is precisely this swelling that causes the locking sensation and pain that you feel whenever you try to move your finger.
