Indications of Abena Silicone Foam Wound Dressing

• Light to heavily exuding wounds
• Pressure ulcers
• Leg and foot ulcers
• Traumatic wounds and skin tears
• Surgical wounds
• Graft and donor sites
• Burns (1st and 2nd degree)

Contraindications:

• Not intended for use on third-degree burns
• Do not use on dry wounds

How to apply Abena Silicone Foam Wound Dressing?

 

1. Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution. Dry the surrounding skin gently
2. Choose the right size of dressing according to the wound area, then grasp sealed pouch at arrows to open the package
3. While avoiding contact with the adhesive area, carefully remove the clear protective plastic films from the pad side of the dressing
4. Center the dressing over the wound, all the while avoiding contact with the sterile adhesive area, then gently press in place
