Drive Travelite Transport Chair is a lightweight yet sturdy aluminum framed portable chair. This wheelchair can be used both indoors and outdoors on forgiving terrain, with a convenient step for the attendant to lift the chair over obstacles. It is suitable for users up to 250lb (113kg) and is propelled by an attendant pushing the chair.

  • Assembly Instructions
    - Fold out the seat fully by pushing down on the four corners of the seat. Ensure the seat is folded out fully otherwise the armrests may not locate properly
    - Flip the arm rests around until they locate in to the arm rest receivers (as shown in the photo left)
    - The armrest release button will click to indicate that the armrest has securely locked in position
    - Pull down the footplate receivers. Then push the brass button and pull down while rotating the footplate until it locks in to position (as shown in the photo left)
    - Flip down the footplates
    - Pull up the push handle until it locks in to position. You will hear a click when the handle is securely locked. Repeat for the other handle
  • Folding and Transporting
    - Press the release paddle on the half fold back mechanism with your thumb while lightly pulling the push handle down
    - Pull the armrest release button while pulling up on the armrest to release. Flip the armrest back until they are hanging vertically down from the chair
    - Flip up the footplates and lift up the footplate receivers. Press the brass push button and push the footplate back while rotating approximately 90 degree until it locates in the receiver hole nearest the chair
    - Lift the chair by the two lift up straps and the chair should naturally fold up. The chair can be carried using the lift up straps
    - If required, unzip the carry bag and insert the chair. If necessary rotate the front castors to allow the chair to fit in the bag. Zip up the bag and carry using the two handles
  • Brake Option
    - It comes with two brakes which should only be applied when the chair is stationary
    - To apply the brakes, press the brake handle as shown in the photo. To release the brakes, press the handle in the opposite direction
  • Operation and Safety
    - The stepper tube can be used to lift the front castors to allow the chair to negotiate obstacles such as door thresholds and dropped curbs
    - To use this function, the user should press down on the stepper tube with a foot to allow the front castors to lift
    - It is not suitable for climbing curbs and obstacles over 2" (5cm)
    - NEVER push down on the push handles to raise the front castors as this could cause damage or injury
    - Use slow speeds on gradients
    - Do not use it on gradients above 10°
    - Do not use on escalators
    - Maintain proper balance at all times. The user should not move their center of gravity outside of the seat area
    - Do not reach for items further than your arm will extend
    - Be aware of hazards in your environment such as rugs, steps, narrow doorways, household appliances, childrens toys, etc
    - We do not recommend that the Travelite is used for side transfers
    - The brakes are solely to be used as parking brakes. They should not be used to slow down the chair during motion
  • Care and Maintenance
    - Its aluminium frame and nylon upholstery can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent or disinfectant
    - If it is subjected to moisture, it should be dried immediately
    - The Travelite should be checked monthly for device integrity. Any loose fasteners should be tightened or replaced, and any torn or worn upholstery or parts replaced
    - It comes with solid tires which do not require inflating

Can I use the chair w/o the arm rest?   Can I use by sliding onto the chair sideways?

The armrest can be flipped back however we do not recommend using the Drive Travelite Transport Chair without the arm rest.

What is HPFY’s return policy?

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We stand behind our products. If the merchandise you received is defective or not what you expected it to be, and you wish to return the item, please submit a return request in the My Account section of our website, contact our Customer Service department at (866) 316-0162 / (203) 616-2850 or email us.

  1. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of the receipt of your order. Returns are not accepted after 30 days.
  2. Items (including parts and accessories) must be returned in new, unused, and resalable condition in its original packaging.
  3. Before returning any product, the buyer must obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) from a customer service representative. With your RA# you will receive a prepaid return shipping label.
  4. Orders returned without obtaining an RA# will be entitled to receive only "In-Store Credit" that can be used towards future purchases.
  5. Return orders are subject to a 20% restocking fees.
  6. All custom orders and hygienic items are non-returnable. Refer to the “Non-Returnable Items” section for further details.
  7. Returns will be reviewed and inspected before issuing credit. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing. The credit will be applied to your original method of payment.
  8. If the return is the result of a defective product or shipping error, we will refund the entire purchase amount and return shipping costs.

Which products are Non-Returnable?

Due to the hygienic nature of some items, they are non-returnable. The items listed below are non-returnable:

  3. Anything opened, used, or tried on.
  4. All customized items.
  5. Besides these, items that have the “non-returnable” phrase on the website.

We reserve the right to make adjustments due to errors, changing market conditions, product discontinuation or typographical errors in advertisements. Images on the site may not always reflect the actual product. Footrests or leg-rests are not included with wheelchairs unless specified.

How do I receive a return authorization number?

You can submit a return request by logging into your account. You will receive the Return Authorization Number (RA#) details in the email within 2-3 business days.

  • Go to “order history”
  • Click on “return order”
  • Fill out the return form and Submit it

If you do not have an email address, we will make other accommodations for RA# Details. Write the RA# on your label affixed to your package prior to shipment.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to process the returns. Once the item is received, and inspected, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Is there any Restocking Fees?

  1. 20% restocking fees will be applied.
  2. Outbound shipping cost is non-refundable.
  3. For orders that qualified for free shipping, $8.99 will be deducted from the refund if the product is returned.
