How to Use Axelgaard UltraStim X Electrode Pads

1. Clean the site of application for proper adhesion
   
   Step 1
2. Connect the lead wires to the electrodes
   
   Step 2
3. Take the electrode's protective lining off. Save the lining removed to reapply on the electrode after use, protecting the adhesive surface

4. Firmly press the electrode into the skin. Apply the center first, then smear the edges of the electrodes by gently moving your finger around the edge ensuring proper adhesion
5. Connect the lead wires to the stimulator unit. Turn on the stimulator and set it up as directed for treatment. Never go over 0.1 Watts/cm2 in intensity
6. After the stimulation session is finished, switch the stimulator off remove the electrode pad and store in the original packing securely

7. Peel the electrodes gently from the skin by lifting them at the edge

Caring for your Axelgaard UltraStim X Electrodes

• Always repack the electrodes in original packing after using
• Store the electrodes away from moisture at room temprature
• If the stimulation pads adhesive starts to dry out apply one or two droplets of water on the gel surface and gently rub the surface
• Using hot or cold packs over the electrode pads for longer times can cause in adhesion failure

• Keep the electrode pads out of children's reach
• Never pull on the lead wire to remove an electrode
• The electrodes are meant for single-patient use only
• Use only the electrodes that are of proper size, shape based on application and your device
• Make sure the stim pads are properly applied and are not lifting up from the skin as it can thermal burns or skin irritancy
• Avoid overlapping and keep the stimulation pads apart during therapy
• Avoid using on damaged skin and if notice any skin rash or burns contact the healthcare proffesional immidiately
• Do Not apply the electrode on the front of the neck, the heart, or the skull
• Do not use the stimulation device while operating machinery or driving

1. Are the Axelgaard Electrodes disposable?

   Yes. When electrodes show wear and tear, or are no longer comfortable for the patient, simply replace them with a new set.

2. How do I remove an electrode from the skin?

   Make sure to lift the electrodes from the edge gently to remove it from the skin. Do not pull on the leadwire to remove the replacement pads as it might damage the socket.

3. Is Ultrastim X Electrode antimicrobial?

   The electrodes uses mutlistick adhesive which are formulated to exhibit antimicrobial properties.

4. Can hot or cold packs be used over the electrodes?

   Yes the hot/cold therapy packs can be used over the pads.
