Bunnell Oppenheimer Coiled Spring Wire Orthosis is used in the treatment of radial nerve palsy. Hook and Loop closure at wrist replaces clasp, simplifies application and allows adjustment of the extension force at the wrist. If the strap is worn "looser" there will be less force to extend the wrist. It preserves function during the recovery period of incomplete nerve lesions. It provides dynamic wrist extension and thumb extension or abduction.
